Louis Hsu is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Digital Wealth Partners, based in Old Greenwich, Connecticut. He studied at Washington University in St. Louis and holds the CFA, CFP, CAIA, and FRM designations along with FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
Louis started his career in 2008, right in the middle of the Global Financial Crisis, researching hedge funds and helping institutional clients evaluate managers and risk practices. From there he held portfolio management roles at BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, SVB, and Grayscale, working across index equities, ETFs, multi-asset strategies, and crypto.
His view on investing is straightforward: there are very few sure things, and what matters is figuring out what strategies actually fit a given investor. He’s been drawn to the intellectual side of markets since he was reading technical analysis charts during chemistry class in college. His grandparents and parents were entrepreneurs, and watching them grind through problems without quitting shaped a lot of how he works.
Outside of the office he stays active, follows trends in AI, watches action and sci-fi films, and spends time with his two kids.
